A new anti-ageing product from pharmacies is currently attracting attention: it claims to visibly smooth expression lines and fine wrinkles in just one minute, without any procedures. This is said to be possible through a blend of collagen, hyaluronic acid and targeted active ingredients that work like a cosmetic lift, but only on the skin’s surface.

Why wrinkle care is no longer a luxury

Stress, insufficient sleep, screen-based work, air pollution and sun exposure: everyday life can show on the face sooner than most people would like. Over time, skin loses moisture and elasticity, while the body’s natural collagen production declines. The first laughter lines can look charming, but deeper lines are often perceived as bothersome.

Wrinkle care has long since moved beyond being a niche concern and is now a regular part of many skincare routines. People choosing creams and serums today generally want three things:

  • results they can see quickly in the mirror
  • a gentle alternative to injections or surgery
  • active ingredients that do more than disguise lines and can provide longer-term support

This is precisely where the new product comes in, advertising a kind of “wrinkle-eraser effect” within seconds.

The promise: a tube-based wrinkle filler with a Botox effect

The focus is a 2-in-1 wrinkle filler available from pharmacies and beauty salons. Its texture is described as “silicone like”: exceptionally soft, easy to glide over the skin and designed to form a delicate film over fine lines, blurring them visually.

The effect is intended to be visible immediately after application: wrinkles appear softer, skin looks more even and the complexion seems smoother.

Its formula is the key feature: it combines four different types of hyaluronic acid with marine pro-collagen, a plant extract from alfalfa and a fermented marine active ingredient. This blend is intended to plump the skin in the short term while supporting its structure over time.

Four types of hyaluronic acid: what this means

Hyaluronic acid has long been a staple of anti-ageing skincare. What is notable here is that the formula uses several types with different molecular weights rather than relying on just one:

  • High-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid creates a moisture-retaining film on the surface, delivering an immediate visual smoothing effect.
  • Medium-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid provides a subtle plumping effect in the upper layers of the skin.
  • Low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid reaches deeper and supports skin hydration and suppleness.
  • Hyaluronic microspheres may settle into fine lines, bind water there and visibly swell these areas.

The aim is for every skin layer to benefit: a smoothing film on top and a hydrating cushion beneath it. This also explains the rapid “1-minute effect” referred to by the brand.

Collagen, algae and more: what the other active ingredients do

Alongside hyaluronic acid, the wrinkle filler contains further anti-ageing ingredients:

Active ingredient Effect on the skin
Marine pro-collagen may support skin structure and improve firmness
Alfalfa extract considered a plant-based retinol alternative, intended to smooth and renew
Ferment from marine micro-organisms intended to strengthen the skin barrier and create a younger, more plump-looking appearance

The combination is designed not only to create an immediate smoothing effect, but also to make facial contours appear fresher over several weeks.

Smoother in one minute: what the tests show

The brand asked 21 test participants to try the wrinkle filler and assess their own impressions. The findings were clear:

  • Around 90 per cent felt that their wrinkles were less visible after application.
  • 95 per cent reported a plumping effect within one minute of the first use.
  • 80 per cent thought their face looked younger overall after 28 days.

No objective laboratory measurements were published, but the figures show how strong the participants’ subjective impressions were. For this reason, many view the wrinkle filler as a cosmetic alternative if they are reluctant to have injections but still want a “smoother” result in the mirror.

How to apply the wrinkle filler

The packaging is as notable as the formula: the wrinkle filler is supplied in a tube pen with an integrated brush applicator. This is intended to enable precise application, exactly where the wrinkle is located.

The recommended routine is roughly as follows:

  • Cleanse the face as usual and complete your full skincare routine, including serum, day cream and sun protection.
  • Use the tube brush to apply a small amount directly into the crease of the wrinkle, such as on the forehead, around the eyes or along the nasolabial folds.
  • Work in the product with light tapping or gentle smoothing movements until it blends into the skin.
  • Make-up can then be applied if desired, ideally using patting motions so that the wrinkle film does not shift.

The manufacturer recommends daily use to combine the instant effect with a more long-term smoothing result.

Who is this wrinkle filler really suitable for?

The product is particularly suitable for people who:

  • want to reduce pronounced expression lines or early fine lines,
  • would like to see an effect immediately after applying it,
  • do not want injections or invasive treatments.

Typical target areas include the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet and the folds between the nose and mouth. Those with very dry or sensitive skin should first perform a patch test, for example in the crook of the arm, to make sure they tolerate the active ingredients well.

What are the limits of these “Botox replacement” products?

Although the term “Botox effect” is widely used, a serum from a tube cannot paralyse facial muscles. It can visually fill wrinkles, hydrate the skin and make it appear smoother, but its effects are limited to the surface.

People with extremely deep wrinkles or very pronounced facial expressions may see visible improvements with this type of product, but they will not achieve a completely line-free forehead. This is where it is worth taking a realistic look in the mirror and asking: is the aim a fresher appearance, or total perfection?

Risks, side effects and sensible combinations

As with any intensive skincare product, individual ingredients may trigger irritation. Typical signs include redness, stinging or small bumps. If this happens, stop using the product and, if necessary, consult a dermatologist.

A wrinkle filler can be combined well with:

  • Vitamin C serums in the morning, for more radiance and protection against free radicals,
  • retinol or retinal in the evening, to support improved skin renewal,
  • high UV protection, so that new wrinkles do not develop as quickly in the first place.

Anyone combining such powerful active ingredients should introduce them gradually and look out for signs of overloading the skin.

What hyaluronic acid and collagen can achieve in daily skincare

Hyaluronic acid works like a sponge: a single molecule can bind many times its own weight in water. In skincare, this helps skin look plumper and smoother while feeling comfortably hydrated. Collagen, on the other hand, acts as the skin’s “support structure”. When the body’s own production declines, tissue can appear less firm. Skincare containing pro-collagen may visually firm the skin’s structure, but it cannot replace lost elasticity overnight.

Visible results therefore require two things: consistent use and a suitable overall approach involving skincare, sun protection, diet and lifestyle. The wrinkle filler can be one part of this, especially for anyone who wants to look a little less tired in the mirror each morning.
